A taste of Scotland from the USA
Being a Scot and living in Scotland, I wanted to be able to share with my friends in the USA our wonderful product. Costs of sending whisky to the USA from Scotland are horrendous. Then I stumbled upon LoveScotch.com. I decided to send a bottle of a lovely Highland whisky - Tomatin - to a friend in Indiana. The whisky itself is a lovely smooth 12 year old whisky matured in bourbon and sherry casks. With a beautiful aroma, this whisky just slides down. I was fortunte enough to get in touch with Tara, a sales concierge (lovely title), who ensured every detail was attended to in sending my gift. I can highly recommend Tomatin 12-year-old. A most satisfying whisky
Delicious. Not a word usually associated with Single Malt Scotch. At least, not a word I have ever used before. That being said, this Tomatin 12, indeed, is delicious. It seems that many distilleries today are trying to outdo each other with the amount of Sherry cask influence they can put into their product and the flavors from Bourbon barrels is being diminished. This is not the case here. The influence of both Bourbon barrels and Sherry casks work very well together in making this one very fine whisky. The description on the carton calls this Tomatin a soft whisky. It very much is, with pleasing flavors of caramel and vanilla . It is very easy to become very good friends with thisTomatin 12 year old. I very much look forward to trying other offerings from this distillery.
A great all around scotch
one of my favorite whiskey from a small distiller. I believe it is just a great all around scotch that anyone can enjoy
