My review to me buddies started, “I want to say ‘Surprisingly’ good but there is no surprise considering MacCallan. Great flavors with a strong sherry presence. Not as good (obviously) as the 18yr Sherry Cask, but for half the price it’s very good and hands down better than the ‘double cask’ offerings in a comparable price range.
I don't know if they serve Scotch in Heaven . . .
. .. but if they do, THIS IS THE ONE!! This Scotch is soooooooo smooth! Definitely my go to at home. When my son comes to visit, I pour a bottle of 12 y.o. MacAllen into an empty Rare Cask bottle and he doesn't know the difference!!! Save the good stuff for dear old Dad!!!
