Bowmore 12

I really enjoyed this whisky. I do not have any previous experience with Bowmore, so I do not know what older bottling's of this brand tasted like, but I liked this one.

A Reliable 12-Year Islay Whisky

In the realm of Islay whiskies, Bowmore's 12-year is a very good value. Not as complex as some other 12-years out there, but a solid everyday sipper. It's not nearly as peaty as some other Islay whiskies, of course, but if you're looking for peat monsters, Bowmore probably isn't the distillery for you. Although it's fine neat, this 12-year is a good pick for cocktails (especially a Rob Roy), as well as for blending with other single malts.
