Arran Sherry Cask
Ordering and shipping were quick and easy (as always). Arran is a great scotch and the 10 year is favorite so I wanted to try this version. It is great and well worth the cost. If you like sherry cask or sherry finished whisky you are sure to enjoy this one!

Decent
This is a decent high abv single malt. It is a bit one dimensional though. Both the nose and palate display typical sherry notes (berries, raisins, a bit of chocolate, ect). I expected a bit more given the strength and the Arran reputation.

What a Treat!
Over my many years of scotch tastings, I have learned that I most prefer the finish of sherry casked whiskys. This Arran offering (The Bodega) is wonderful and has none to the bite you can get from cask-strength whisky.
Excellent Value Sherry Influenced Whisky
This is an excellent sherried non-age statement whisky. It is not a 'sherry bomb' per-se, but more so sherry influenced. Lots of dried fruit and chocolate over here, with a touch of caramel and spices. This is a must have in my bar and a quality value for the money. I often times enjoy this as much as Aberlour A'bunadh. I highly recommend The Bodega.
