Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee whiskey is a unique American whiskey made exclusively in Tennessee. Similar to bourbon, it includes an extra step called the Lincoln County Process, where the whiskey is filtered through charcoal before aging, resulting in a smoother taste. The mash must be at least 51% corn, and the whiskey is aged in new charred oak barrels. Famous brands like Jack Daniel's and George Dickel produce Tennessee whiskey, known for its smooth, mellow flavor with notes of vanilla, caramel, and a hint of smokiness.
