Rinomato Americano Bianco 1 L is an Italian gentian aperitif wine from Asti in Piedmont. Made with Italian wines and a selection of botanicals, it balances floral wine character with citrus and a firm bitter edge. The producer describes its pale, chamomile straw color and a profile shaped by gentian, bergamot and mandarin.
Expect aromas of fresh bergamot and mandarin, with a producer-described panettone note. The blend also includes rhubarb, Roman wormwood, lavender, cinchona bark and vanilla. Gentian contributes a dry, tannic grip and root-driven complexity, rather than the sweetness of a conventional white wine. This is the Bianco expression, not a differently sized bottle or another Rinomato aperitif.
For a long drink, try it with grapefruit soda, ginger ale or tonic; the producer also suggests spritzes and classic cocktails with a bitter botanical component. Its technical sheet recommends a Negroni Bianco as one serving idea. The sale unit is one 1 L glass bottle with a screw cap at 17% ABV; six bottles make up the distributor case, not this retail offer.
