Crafted in Jalisco, Mexico, Paladar Agave De Amburana Tequila is an experimental destilado de agave from the last independent founding families of the region. Made from 7-year-old Blue Weber agave harvested from estate fields, slow cooked in brick ovens, open-air fermented in pine vats with wild and proprietary yeast, and double distilled in a copper and stainless steel alambique, this tequila rests two months in ex-bourbon barrels before a rare Amburana wood finish. Bottled at 40% ABV.
Amburana, a Brazilian wood, lends a deep amber hue and an aromatic rush of vanilla, nutmeg, sweet baking spice, and toasted oak layered over roasted agave. The palate is gently sweet, spiced, and silky with a warming finish. Best enjoyed neat to explore its complexity, or lightly rested in a glass to let the exotic wood-driven character unfold.
