Nonino Grappa Cru Monovitigno Picolit 750ml is a single-varietal grappa distilled from selected Picolit grape pomace from Friuli, Italy. Bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof), it rests for six months to one year in stainless-steel tanks before bottling. Nonino ferments the fresh, destalked pomace under vacuum at controlled temperature, then uses discontinuous batch distillation with head and tail cuts in the family’s copper steam stills.
The finished spirit is clear and elegant, with aromas of acacia flowers, honeycomb, ripe quince, fresh Muscat grapes, and figs. On the palate, those fragrances return alongside a note of bread crust, leading into a persistent finish. Nonino created its first single-varietal Picolit grappa in 1973, establishing the Monovitigno approach that remains central to this expression. The spirit is manually bottled in a distinctive hand-blown phial with a silver-colored stopper and hanging label. Nonino suggests serving it around 12°C in an open tulip-shaped glass.
