Mortlach 50 Year Old Single Cask 2893 Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an extraordinary Speyside whisky distilled in 1971 and matured for over five decades in a single refill American oak hogshead. The final spirit from Mortlach’s original direct-fire stills, it reveals remarkable depth, elegance, and complexity shaped by time and traditional craftsmanship.
The nose offers summer fruits, delicate spice, woody aromas, and hints of Brazil nut. The palate is remarkably smooth and richly fruity, with dark berries, gentle sweetness, and warming spice. Its long, rounded finish leaves a lingering nutty warmth. Best enjoyed neat to appreciate its exceptional character, or with a few drops of water to reveal deeper layers.
