Krug Grande Cuvée 173ème Édition Brut Champagne with Gift Box is Maison Krug’s prestige multi-vintage Champagne built around the 2017 harvest. The blend draws on 150 individually made wines from 13 years, spanning 2001 through 2017, with reserve wines accounting for 31%. Its final composition is 44% Pinot Noir, 34% Chardonnay, and 22% Meunier. This release includes one 750 mL bottle in its Krug presentation box and is bottled at 12.5% ABV / 25 proof.
Krug describes the 173ème Édition as intense yellow-gold, with aromas of toast, brioche, stone fruit, verbena, vanilla pastry cream, French toast, and baba au rhum. The palate follows with a creamy, generous texture and notes of juicy fruit, peach in syrup, ripe citrus, toasted nuances, and pine nut before a crisp lemon finish.
