Kilchoman Loch Gorm 10 Year Old Sherry Cask 2025 rises from the peat-rich shores of Islay, shaped by the dark waters of its namesake loch. Crafted from barley grown on the island and matured solely in oloroso sherry casks from the famed Jose Miguel Martin bodega, it carries deep copper tones and a character built on purity and place.
Caramelized custard, roasted coffee and hints of candied ginger lead the way, unfolding into honey-roasted figs, cloves and sticky toffee pudding wrapped in a gentle drift of peat smoke. The finish lingers with savory earth and warm spice, echoing dark fruit, burnt sugar and the soft citrus woven through Kilchoman’s farm-crafted spirit.
At 50 ppm of peat and released in a limited run of 18,000 bottles, it’s a whisky best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water, allowing its sherry-soaked richness and Islay smoke to rise slowly and entirely on its own terms.
