This great Premier Cru comes from a small plot within the larger 'Morgeot' appellation in Chassagne Montrachet, situated on lower slopes rich in slate, limestone and clay. Great wines are also produced here on the relatively lower slopes, not too much sun during the day and a struggle through the sticks to get as deep as possible in order to get enough water. The boulder soil in the Abbaye provides a beautiful minerality within a rich style wine. Jean Féry strongly believes in organic viticulture with great respect for nature. A classic in the range, and yet a quirky style with full concentration, of course, but also an unprecedented elegance thanks to the beautiful terroir of 'Abbaye de Morgeot' and the craftsmanship of a beautiful family business since the 4th generation.
