Fantinel Ribolla Gialla Brut is an Italian sparkling wine made from the native Ribolla Gialla grape in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Fantinel uses a long Charmat method to preserve the variety’s bright, fresh character, while its U.S. importer notes sustainable farming and an early-September harvest. The wine is bottled in a 750 mL glass bottle at 12% ABV (24 proof).
The producer and importer describe a bright straw-yellow color, an intense fruity bouquet, and a fresh, lively palate with a harmonious balance. Fantinel traces its roots to 1969, when restaurateur and hotelier Paron Mario Fantinel acquired his first vineyards in Friuli’s Collio area. The company began as a small agricultural business and remains associated with Friulian winemaking through the Fantinel family. Serve this Brut well chilled as an aperitif or alongside fish-based dishes, the two service suggestions stated on the importer’s technical sheet. The combination of native grape, regional origin, early harvest, and long-Charmat production gives the wine a clearly documented sense of place and method.
