Domaine Jacques Prieur Musigny Grand Cru 2022 is a 100% Pinot Noir from the Musigny Grand Cru appellation in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. This 750 mL vintage is bottled at 13% ABV / 26 proof. Domaine Jacques Prieur harvested the 2022 crop beginning August 29 after a warm growing season. The grapes were handpicked into small crates, sorted, and fully destemmed before spending 18 days on the skins in temperature-controlled open oak vats, with the cap punched down twice daily during alcoholic fermentation.
After complete malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged entirely in oak barrels for 21 months. The Musigny vineyard occupies a south-east-facing fault above Clos Vougeot, beside the Combe d’Orveau, where thin, stony soils provide drainage and retain daytime heat. The domaine describes the 2022 as dark ruby with an intense purple rim. Spicy vanilla notes develop toward floral and menthol tones with air, while the palate brings ripe black cherry, dense spice, firm tannins, and a fresh finish.
