Dingle Single Malt Irish Whiskey Lúnasa Widow Jane Bourbon Cask Finish 101 is the fourth release in Dingle Distillery’s nine-part Celtic Wheel of the Year series. Distilled, matured, and bottled at Dingle Distillery in Ireland, this single malt first matured in first-fill bourbon casks before a long finish in casks that previously held Widow Jane bourbon. The official producer-controlled bottle and product record identify the release at 50.5% ABV / 101 proof in a 700 mL bottle.
The producer describes aromas of ripe red berries, salted caramel tart, lemon sherbet, and butter fudge. Its palate brings barley sugar and spice together with Bakewell tart, dark chocolate, raspberry, and creamy butter toffee. The Widow Jane cask finish adds an American bourbon-cask chapter to Dingle’s Irish single malt while preserving the release’s place in the seasonal Wheel of the Year collection.
