Bunnahabhain 40 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Small Batch is a remarkable unpeated Islay single malt, matured for four decades in sherry casks at the Bunnahabhain Distillery on the Sound of Islay. At 41.9% ABV, it opens with tropical fruit, banana, berries, creamy toffee, vanilla and rich nuttiness.
The palate brings sweet malt, caramel, creamy berries, pineapple and toasted nuts, leading to a long, sweet, fruit-driven finish with delicate oak. Best enjoyed neat to appreciate its layered character, or with a small splash of water to gently reveal its mature flavors.
