Albinea Canali Lambrusco FB Metodo Ancestrale NV 750ml is a dry, semi-sparkling rosé wine from Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Produced from 100% Lambrusco di Sorbara, it comes from vineyards in the plains and lower hills of Reggio Emilia and Modena. The grapes receive a 12-hour cold maceration after pressing, followed by partial fermentation and a second fermentation in the bottle. Natural yeast sediment remains in the finished wine, an intentional feature of the ancestral method. This non-vintage release is bottled at 750ml and 11% ABV / 22 proof.
The importer describes an antique-pink color with violet reflections and a discreet, creamy froth. Floral notes of wild rose and violet meet raspberry, wild strawberry, and bread-like yeast aromas. The palate is dry and savory, with the characteristic bright acidity of Lambrusco di Sorbara and a balanced finish. With 3 g/L residual sugar and 7.5 g/L total acidity, the wine emphasizes freshness rather than sweetness. Serve chilled alongside cured meats, ravioli, tortellini, grilled meats, or pizza.
