Jeff Lindauer, Don’s son, has been drinking from a spring there since he was a small boy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eIn the fall of 2008, Jeff and his friend Russ Wall, a marketing guru, were observing the tradition of drinking from the spring (a coveted ritual) and inspiration occurred – eventually leading to the idea of using the water from this extremely high quality resource as the foundation for creating craft spirits. Jeff McPhie, another friend and operational genius, joined the company in 2010 and built the distillery in Loveland, Colorado.
